Living forever under the sea

Lifestyles in the ocean are diverse. This helps animals compete for limited resources, find places to hide, get food, and otherwise survive and thrive in a variety of ways. Some animals spend their entire lives adrift in the open ocean while others stay rooted to one spot. There are many body shapes and lifestyles that animals in the ocean have developed to compete in diverse environments. Just like our friends live different lives at home, animals live different lives underwater. We appreciate them all!
